TLC Mission

TLC exists to train student leaders to influence their church and community for Christ.

After spending some significant time evaluating TLC and the Youth Workers Conference, we have made the decision to give the Youth Workers Conference a facelift! Well, to be honest, we don’t have a Youth Workers Conference anymore.

Now before you jump to conclusions, please don’t think that we don’t care about you or aren’t doing anything to help you with your ministry to students. Actually we are doing many of the same things we’ve always done and in response to last year’s youth worker feedback, we are adding a Leadership Track for youth pastors and lay youth workers.

This newly designed Leadership Track will equip you to develop a strategic and intentional ministry in the lives of your students. This track will include 7 sessions scheduled throughout the week in a way that will allow you to remain heavily involved with your students.

We have also scheduled a Youth Pastors Track.
Vocational youth pastors are invited to participate in three relevant and strategic sessions led by Vision For Youth’s Mel Walker. These sessions will be highly interactive discussions designed to give you an opportunity to think through key issues facing local church youth ministry.

As a youth pastor or lay youth worker, you may also choose to simply spend more time with your students by attending the 2nd general session each morning.

TLC also offers Youth Workers...
... opportunities to fellowship and interact with other youth workers from around the country.

... time to discover practical ways to help your students integrate what they learn and experience at TLC into their lives.

...a week to unwind and enjoy—bring your golf clubs!
There are plenty of options to sharpen your ministry skills, get to know your students on a deeper level and of course, be challenged in your own walk with God. The choice is up to you.

Child Care

Optional child care is available at an additional fee.

Child care is available during the main sessions and workshops. Because of limited housing, we have not been able to accommodate youth worker’s children older than age 10.

However, we are willing to make exceptions . . . but only as space is available. If you have children ages 11-13 that you would like to bring along, please contact us and we will consider your situation. Thank you for your understanding.

This was my second year working at TLC and I had the privilege of being a lead counselor! I started out a little skeptical as to whether or not I would like this role since I wouldn’t have “my own” guys. However, after seeing God work through me and in the lives of so many counselors and students, I came to appreciate and love the role God had placed me in!read more

I am so thankful for the ministry of TLC and the opportunities I have had to be a part of it. There has not been a time of greater spiritual and personal growth in my life than my time at BBC. TLC has been one of the experiences that I believe has shaped me and stretched me and grown me the most just as a more
