Baptist Bible Seminary Learning Support

Baptist Bible Seminary is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities. Our purpose is to provide equal access to educational opportunities. This is in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Our academic standards are not lowered, nor are essential elements of degree programs changed.

Special services may include:

  • Housing accommodations.
  • Extended test-taking time.
  • Use of test readers.
  • Testing in a room where the student will have minimal distractions.
  • Preferred seating in the classroom.
  • Permission to record classes.

PROCESS
1. Request Accommodations.
Complete a request form online here or download and print the form here.

2. Supply Documentation.
Disability documentation must be submitted with your request form. The documentation should be a report from a qualified professional and may include a psycho-educational evaluation by a psychologist or education specialist. A report from an orthopedist, neurologist, or other physician regarding physical disabilities can be included, and should be from within the last three years.

3. Make an appointment.
After the evaluation and enrollment, schedule a meeting with the Director of Learning Support Services to discuss accommodations. Online students can make a phone appointment if necessary. The Director of Learning Support Services will notify appropriate staff and faculty members for specific accommodations.
