Ken Davis, BBS Director of Church Planting,, has been involved in church planting for over 25 years. As a MK in Guyana, he helped his dad start new churches. As a college student he led an inner city outreach which resulted in a church. As a Baptist Mid-Missions missionary, Ken directed two growing church plants in the African American community in Indianapolis. He has served as chairman of BMM's North American Church Planting Ministry Council and co-founded the School of Church Planting, which has trained over 300 church planters worldwide.Ken comes to BBS after serving 19 years as the missions professor at Baptist Bible College of Indianapolis (now Crossroads Bible College), a school specializing in training leaders to reach multi-ethnic urban America. He has also led mission trips to Guyana, Mexico, and Ghana. A strategist as well as a practitioner, Ken has contributed to the Practical Guide to Church Planting and coauthored the newly published The Y-B-H Handbook of Church Planting.
With both a passion for and much practical experience in church planting, Ken has a burning desire to equip men to be effective church planters. His particular vision is to reach urban/ethnic America for Christ and to mobilize harvesters for the truly unreached peoples of our world. Coming to BBS, you will be challenged as you learn under his teaching and work alongside him in a church planting effort. |
