Organizational Leadership

Enhance your ability to lead an organization and help a team reach and exceed its goals.

The Organizational Leadership concentration mixes practical courses with hands-on experience in the actual area you want to focus in. You will gain from theories and concepts needed for the successful operation of an organization.

Hand-on learning
Through this unique program, you will be mentored by seasoned ministry professionals experienced in the work you are learning to do.

Degree work includes 15 credit hours of required core courses completed at Baptist Bible Seminary and 15 credit hours of hands-on learning earned through Pilgrimage Educational Resources in an experience-based environment.

You will gain from experiential education curriculum, learning tools, and courses designed to strengthen your abilities and foster growth in other areas vital to the success of your organization.

Practical courses
A required course, “Leading in Active Learning Ministry Environments,” will explore the concepts and practices of leadership, personality and leadership styles, adapting and using leadership approaches, and other concepts pertaining to active learning environments during a one-week wilderness trip.

As a graduate, you will be equipped to demonstrate effective leadership within your organization. You will gain an understanding of organizational dynamics, enabling you to maintain a productive and growing environment of learners.

Success will be measured as you demonstrate a greater ability to:

• Encourage and facilitate collaborative learning at all levels of the organization.

• Create and maintain a productive community of learners through the application of a solid understanding of ministry organizations.
• Develop organizational strategies through evaluation, adaptation, and integration of existing strategies in pursuit of organizational goals.
• Recruit, develop, and mobilize employees and volunteers as effective teams.
• Coordinate board and administrative teams for the creation and maintenance of maximum productivity.
• Effectively plan and oversee all financial aspects of a non-profit organization.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive, responsible risk management policy.
