Ministry enhancement focus of conference

Registrations continue to be accepted for Baptist Bible College & Seminary's Church Ministries Conference, a two-day event designed to enhance the ministry of anyone who serves in a local church.

The conference includes several main sessions and nearly three dozen workshop options. The seminars will be held Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29, on the Clarks Summit campus.

The keynote speaker will be BBC&S President Jim Jeffery. As a gifted communicator with a heart to encourage and disciple, his ministry and testimony is both powerful and personal.

More than a dozen speakers from academia, ministry organizations and the pastorate will lead sessions. Workshops are geared toward anyone involved in church work and volunteering. This includes teachers, greeters, counselors, youth leaders and seniors.

Workshop sessions are set to feature tools, ideas and lessons applicable to children, youth, adults, leadership and outreach to local communities. The sessions are designed to be highly interactive to meet unique needs and situations faced by those in attendance. Topics include Discipline in the Classroom, Positive Confrontation That Works, and Leading Small Groups.

Registration is $30 for the entire conference, $12 for just Friday night, and $20 for Saturday only. The fee includes complementary beverages and lunch, a 20% discount at the BBC Campus Bookstore and opportunities to view and purchase new resources from exhibitors.

Deadline for registration is March 20. For online registration and other details are available here. For details, later registration, or other questions, contact Beth McGrew at 570.585.9255 or bmcgrew@bbc.edu.
