Faculty chapel series at BBS
Women in the pastorate will be the focus of a two-week Faculty Chapel Series at Baptist Bible Seminary.
Seven faculty members will address various aspects of the issue. Topics include Old Testament implications on the subject, the meanings of leadership and submission and the respective roles of men and women in the church.
Each faculty member will present his topic as a sermon and a scholarly document. The papers will be available for purchase after each chapel message.
The papers will also be reproduced in the spring edition of the journal of Ministry and Theology. BBS publishes the journal twice per year. For more information on the JMAT, click here.
The topic was chosen in response to an editorial in USA Today that describes the treatment of women in the church as “shabby.” Read the editorial here.
The series will be held December 3–7 and 12–13 from 9–10 a.m.
You may listen to College and Seminary chapel messages here.
