Distance learning gets boost at BBC&S

Online course offerings, educational technology and support staff will grow at Baptist Bible College & Seminary with the help of a $100,000 grant.

The money was awarded by a family foundation. It will be used to improve buy new computer equipment and software, transfer existing courses into online courses, and market distance learning programs more effectively.

Online courses give students more scheduling options and enable them to complete their degrees where they live. BBC&S has offered such options for over 20 years and is significantly growing its selection. The current catalog includes week-long modules, video courses, once-per-week classes, and online courses.

Improving distance learning options will assist the College, Graduate School, and Seminary in accomplishing a combined goal of providing complete online ministry degrees for students everywhere.

The College and Graduate School currently have several courses in online and distance formats. The Seminary offers 20% of its courses online.
