Mark Borden named Vice President for Business & Finance

Mark Borden, a former municipal manager and small business owner, has been named Vice President for Business & Finance at BBC&S.

Most recently serving as City Manager in Carson City, MI, he began his new position June 2.

"It is an honor and a privilege to have been selected for this role," Borden said. "I am looking forward to working with the faculty and staff as together we serve our students."

BBC&SBorden earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Clearwater Christian College and a Master of Business Administration from Everest University. His previous experience includes ownership of a successful medical billing company, work as a master plumber, and management of a large warehouse operation. His father, Malcolm Borden, served as a pastor and also as a dean at Cairn University near Philadelphia.

In his role, Borden will oversee the daily operations and manage the Business Office. He plans to implement many business strategies that have proven effective in organizations he has led before coming to BBC&S.

"Mark has the education and experience needed for this vital role in the leadership team," said BBC&S President Jim Jeffery. "He is enthusiastic about the mission of BBC&S and was a unanimous choice for this position."

He replaces Hal Cross, who retired in May after 21 years of service at BBC&S. Mark and his wife, Susan, are the parents of two teenage boys, Matthew and Timothy. They will reside in South Abington Township.
