Minister's Enrichment Day offers special time of encouragement, learning

Valuable instruction on ministry finances and a special time of fellowship for pastors and their wives were featured at Baptist Bible Seminary's fall Minister's Enrichment Day, held November 12 in the Stowell Seminary Building.

James Rickard, Director of the Stewardship Services Foundation, served as keynote speaker. With more than 40 years of business management and accounting experience, Rickard travels the country speaking to pastors and churches on family finance, estate planning, leadership, church finance, and clergy income tax issues.

"It was a very profitable day," said Bob Johnson of Salem Bible Fellowship in Lehighton, PA. "Jim is very knowledgeable. I've used his principles during 25 years of ministry."

BBC&SWorkshop topics included church budgeting and principles from I Timothy 6, giving attendees practical take-home tips. Speakers included Tom Bevan, Executive Director of the BBC Foundation; BBS faculty member Dr. Bill Arp; and adjunct BBC faculty member and gifted women's Bible teacher Joanna Arp.

"Joanna Arp's workshop was very good," said Missy Michaels of GraceLife Church in Annville, PA. "She makes you stop and think. Being a pastor's family, trying to stretch every penny, we can forget how rich and blessed we truly are with what God has given us, and to be content and focused on Him."
