Commencement set for May 11 at BBC&S

BBC&S will mark its 81st year during the annual graduation ceremony, awarding diplomas to roughly 200 students. The 2013 Commencement is set for Saturday, May 11, at 9 a.m., in the Phelps Student Center.

The event for the first time will be streamed live over the internet. A link to watch the event will be live during the program at www.bbc.edu/commencement.

President Jim Jeffery, the featured speaker, will encourage graduates, families, and friends at the occasion. His address, "Reach the Summit," describes BBC&S' passion for its graduates to climb higher in following and serving Christ. Like mountain climbers, keeping a grip is essential to ascending the mountain.

The message wraps together the series of messages on Second Timothy President Jeffery preached in chapels over the year.

The morning will also include performances arranged through the BBC Department of Music.

Graduates and their families will enjoy a special time with President and Mrs. Jeffery and the BBC faculty the evening before Commencement.

This year's event will mark 81 years of graduates in school history. Founded in 1932 in Johnson City, NY, BBC&S moved to its current location in Clarks Summit, PA, in 1968.
