Day of Prayer uplifts students, staff

Prayer and encouragement was the focus of a special Day of Prayer at BBC&S for students, faculty and staff.

The event on Tuesday, October 4 helped start a special week of Bible Conference. The theme is "The Greatest Preacher's Greatest Sermon," focusing on the Sermon on the Mount.

No classes were held on the Day of Prayer. The Bible Conference runs October 3-7.

BBC&S Time to Refocus
The day began for students with breakfast and prayer in the dorms, followed by chapel at 10 a.m. Faculty and staff enjoyed a special time of fellowship, prayer, and refreshments at 8:30 a.m.

The afternoon provided a unique time of uniting in prayer for the campus. Students participated in a prayer walk around campus to pray for the faculty and staff in each campus building.

Chapel included special speaker Stephen Davey, Senior Pastor at Colonial Baptist Church in Cary, NC. The church has grown to serve thousands of people in the greater Raleigh area. Stephen and his wife, Marsha, have four children, three of whom are alumni of BBC. Pastor Davey has served in ministry for 25 years.

Faithfulness in Prayer
Each semester, BBC&S faculty, staff, and students devote a day to prayer.

The day off from classes gives the students a special time of fellowship as they pray and encourage each other.

Baptist Bible College & Seminary offers an outstanding Christian education through on-campus, online, and other distance learning options. Students go beyond the ordinary, learning to learn and serve with excellence as they gain critical leadership and life skills.
