Men's Conference first of several summer events

Successfully dealing with doubt was a key focus of the 2011 Men's Conference at BBC&S, a special time for nearly 200 who attended and were challenged by the Bible and each other.

The conference was the first of a dozen summer events set for campus. More than 4,000 people annually attend camps and conferences at BBC&S.

"Rock Solid: Recapturing Certainty in Days of Doubt" was held May 13-14. The annual retreat-style event offers men spiritual encouragement and revitalization.

Inside the Conference
Ron Berrus, a worldwide speaker, author, and lead pastor at Bible Baptist Church in Shiremanstown, PA, was the conference keynote speaker.

Among those attending was William Swan, pastor of Sandusky Baptist Church in Sandusky, NY.

"Every year I have been able to take home a tool that I can use not only for my ministry but for my own spiritual growth," he said.

A range of workshops tackling life issues was offered by dynamic workshop speakers, including Dr. Don McCall, Dr. Jim Lytle, Mark Fitch, and several others.

More Summer Camps, Conferences Ahead
Adult summer conferences allow men, women, and families to be encouraged during a time of growth and renewal. Each provides a special time to connect with old and new friends from across the country and around the world.

Youth camps provide special, Christ-centered opportunities to be strengthened in the faith while building leadership skills for the future. Week-long sports camps build athletic skills while enabling young athletes to grow spiritually.

Each program has a part in growing BBC&S' focus on providing excellence in biblical higher education for effectiveness in global Christian leadership.

Events include the annual Golf Tournament, the LYFE Women's Conference, Volunteers Weeks, Junior High Boot Camp, and Teen Leadership Conference.

Five different sports camps offer athletic and spiritual training to students interested in sports. The Big Blue and Defender sports camps foster the growth of athleticism and sportsmanship as well as leadership skills and character.
