New leadership filling top enrollment, development positions at BBC&S
Two veteran administrators have assumed top vice presidential leadership posts at Baptist Bible College & Seminary.
Ken Shepard has been named Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing Services and Jay Graham will serve as Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
"Jay Graham has the knowledge, experience, and leadership to help BBC&S find the resources to meet our students' needs and advance our mission of providing excellence in biblical education to provide effective ministry leaders," said BBC&S President Jim Jeffery. "Ken Shepard will provide leadership in our enrollment and marketing efforts as we recruit and equip the next generation of difference-makers for Christ."
Ken Shepard has served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement since October 2007. A veteran sales and sports marketing executive, he led several minor-league baseball operations, a sports marketing consulting business, and a medical product company's sales force before coming to BBC&S.
As Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing Services, he will lead teams over admissions and recruiting efforts, financial aid, and communications and marketing. He succeeds Glenn Amos, who will continue to assist BBC&S as Special Assistant for Enrollment Services.
Ken Shepard and his wife, Tonya, and their two children reside in Clarks Summit, PA.
Jay Graham, a graduate of Southern Seminary, worked in fundraising in higher education at Southern as well as for a variety of other nonprofit organizations prior to this move. He also started his own business, owned two Christian bookstores, and helped a Christian school grow and expand its ministry in Louisville, KY.
As Vice President for Institutional Advancement, he will oversee fundraising, church relations, alumni relations, and the BBC Foundation. He begins work March 23.
He and his wife, Terry, have three adult daughters. The Grahams will relocate soon to northeastern Pennsylvania.
"I am looking forward to the opportunity to work in conjunction with the staff and students at BBC&S to move the ministry and mission forward in preparing students to be ministry leaders for the church and Great commission ministry, and secondarily to help others enter the workforce prepared with a Christian worldview," he said.
Baptist Bible College & Seminary offers 38 academic programs, from a one-year Bible Certificate to PhDs. Programs are available through the Clarks Summit campus and several distance learning options. To learn more, go to www.bbc.edu or call 570.586.2400.
