Special missions focus ahead at College, Seminary

"Live Like the World is Dying" is the theme for 2009 Missions Conference at Baptist Bible College & Seminary.

The unique focus Feb 11-13 features special speakers and breakout sessions. BBC&S has partnered with the Association of Baptists For World Evangelism for the 2009 program.

The three-day conference includes presentations by ABWE President Dr. Michael Loftis; Dr. Gil Thomas, who has been serving as a missionary to Portugal; Dr. Dale Marshfield, ABWE Coordinator of International Theological Education; and Paul Atkinson, Director of Student Mobilization for ABWE.

In addition to the sessions and workshops, speakers, students, and others will participate in a Missions Emphasis Week at Baptist Bible Seminary.

"As a Bible college, we want to educate, inform, stimulate, and motivate students, faculty, administrators and staff to do the Great Commission," said BBC Associate Professor John Jackson. "While the local church is God's ordained instrument in fulfilling and spearheading the Great Commission, we are obligated here at BBC to teach and mentor those who are not only our future church leaders but also our present church leaders."
