Master's Concentrations
Master’s-level students have a wide selection of courses from which to choose to create a concentration (major) in a particular area of ministry. A combination of required and elective courses along with a specifically tailored internship site make the program highly desirable and effective.
- Worship Ministries Leadership
The concentration is designed to help meet the need for biblically centered, informed leadership in congregational worship. It is designed for worship pastors, senior pastors, youth pastors, church planters, and missionaries. It is available in the M.Min. or M.Div. degree programs.
- Pastoral Leadership
Church size, community, congregation age,economics, and communication and leadership styles present leadership complexities in the pastorate today. This concentration prepares you for dynamic and sensitive pastoral leadership.
- Church Planting
This concentration provides the education and essential experience of actually planting a church through the seminary's church planting program, Project Jerusalem.
- Outreach Pastor
One of the ministries most demanded by local churches, this concentration develops leaders capable of mobilizing churches for effective evangelism and assimilation.
- Pastoral Counseling
Biblical counseling is an essential ministry of the church today. A variety of courses will prepare you to use the Scriptures to bring God's hope to troubled lives.
- Youth Ministry
BBS prepares you to reach and teach one of the largest, most receptive age groups in the world today and mobilize them for ministry.
- Church Education
This concentration will train you to develop and lead relevant, biblical, local church education ministries for all age groups.
- Global Missions
The challenges to reach a lost world with the Gospel are great. You will be equipped with the sensitivities, methodologies, and theological strength to carry on a world-wide ministry.
- Military Chaplaincy
This concentration meets military chaplaincy requirements, with chaplaincy courses taught by successful chaplains. Tuition assistance from the military is available. This concentration applies to students in the M.Div. program.
