MASTER'S PROGRAMS » Master of Divinity

Baptist Bible Seminary exists to train men in biblical doctrines and Scriptural applications for excellence in leadership. BBS is open to all men desiring to grow their faith and prepare for ministry in an academic setting.

A bachelor's degree is required to enter the BBS Master of Divinity program. While a Bible college degree is desired and helpful, a liberal arts degree is acceptable.

Acceptance into the Master of Divinity program does not guarantee graduation from the program. Candidacy status marks the student who shows diligence and high potential for ministry success. To attain candidacy, the student must:

  1. Complete 48 hours of course work with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
  2. Demonstrate the personal, moral, and spiritual maturity necessary for a minister of the Gospel.
  3. Satisfactorily complete Christian service requirements, and thereby evidence ability and acceptability in Christian ministry.
  4. Agree with the doctrinal position of BBS within four years of date of candidacy status. Read the Confession of Faith of BBC&S here.

For details on academic status, read the current catalog here.

In accordance with the biblical convictions of Baptist Bible Seminary, prospective students who are divorced, married to a divorced person, or separated from spouses will not be admitted.

For details on student behavioral expectations, please refer to the Standards of Conduct at BBS here.
