Spotlight on Issues in Theology: Apologetics: A Defense of the Doctrine of Hell
Are Christians who believe in a traditional doctrine of hell mean-spirited and irrational?
Should Christians in the postmodern era abandon the biblical teaching of hell because it is too offensive?
These questions and others will be addressed in a free class taught by Baptist Bible Seminary Dean Dr. Mike Stallard, a special opportunity for students who have never taken a seminary class before.
This annual one-week course focuses on a major current issue or issues in biblical and theological studies which impact doctrinal formation and church practice.
Who: Free class for any first-time student
What: After successfully completing the 2012 course, students will be able to recognize and understand the traditional doctrine of eternal punishment, discuss and evaluate alternative views, and articulate and verbalize a biblical response to such views.
When: January 3-6, 2012, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. daily.
Where: Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA
Cost: No tuition to audit the class. Books, class notes, and meals are the responsibility of the student. Limited housing at $15 a night is available for those taking the course.
