Training Timothys Scholarship
Independent evangelical churches have often left it completely to the student to solve the financial dilemma of seminary education. The reality that the costs of a seminary education have risen faster than the students’ earning abilities has compounded the difficulty of obtaining a seminary education. Employment to support a family (approximately 90% of today's seminary students are married) consumes much time and often leaves insufficient time for study and ministry preparation. Fewer men across America are completing seminary each year.
The Training Timothys scholarship program is a matching fund scholarship program where BBS will match a financial gift from your church toward tuition costs each semester for up to six semesters. This is a significant savings. The student must be enrolled full time (at least 9 credit hours) during the semester the Training Timothys Scholarship is awarded.
>Training Timothys is a matching tuition scholarship.
>M.Min. students - A $500 gift from the church is matched, becoming a $1,000 BBS scholarship. M.Min. students can utilize this scholarship for up to six semesters, providing up to $6,000 towards a seminary degree.
>M.Div. students - A $1,000 gift from the church is matched, becoming a $2,000 BBS scholarship. M.Div. students can utilize this scholarship for up to six semesters, providing up to $12,000 towards a seminary degree.
