Dr. Rodney Decker has served as a professor at BBS since 1996. He has published two major Greek study books (Temporal Deixis of the Greek Verb, Vol. 10 of Studies in Biblical Greek, Peter Lang, 2001; and Koine Greek Reader, Kregel, 2007), and has several other under contract. He has published a number of smaller books, articles in works edited by others, as well as scholarly articles in Trinity Journal, Bibliotheca Sacra, Grace Theological Journal, Themelios, Detroit Baptist Seminary Journal, and the Journal of Ministry and Theology. He has presented papers at the Evangelical Theological Society, Society of Biblical Literature, and at the Bible Faculty Summit. He was the guest lecturer for the Clearwater Lecture Series at Central Baptist Seminary of Virginia Beach in 2002, the Rice Lectures at Detroit Baptist Seminary in 2006, and the MacDonald Lecture series at Central Baptist Seminary, Minneapolis in 2010. He served as the Evangelical Theological Society Eastern Region Chair, 2003-2004. In addition, he edits and maintains a Bible study website, www.NTResources.com, and has created several specialized TrueType fonts for Greek, including a polytonic Greek Unicode font. Prior to teaching at BBS, Dr. Decker taught for six years at Calvary Bible College and Seminary in Kansas City. He also spent 12 years in pastoral ministry.
