Transfer Students

We welcome transfer students and want to recognize your previous learning experiences.

We will honor the academic credit you have already earned, permitted it reaches the academic standards of Baptist Bible Seminary. You must have earned a minimum grade of C at an acceptable, standard theological seminary to receive full credit. Your credits must fit into the stated requirements of your program, in the judgment of those who review the transcripts.

Normally, no more than half of resident requirements will be transferred. BBS reserves the right to require examination or further study if significant weaknesses are noted.

If you hold a five-year Bachelor of Theology (Th.B.), you will receive a significant amount of transfer credit in either the M.Min. or M.Div. programs. Your grade point average will only be figured on work completed at Baptist Bible Seminary.

No graduate credit will be given on any undergraduate courses. If your courses clearly duplicate those in the Seminary curriculum, they may be waived and other courses taken in their place through examinations approved by the head of the appropriate department.

Transfer credits from Baptist Bible Seminary to other institutions is at the discretion of the receiving institution.
