TLC alumni asked to share stories

Baptist Bible College's annual Teen Leadership Conference has served as a catalyst to service for many pastors, teachers, and missionaries. By extension, the life-changing week has had a profound impact on thousands of lives over the years.

The organizers of this year's TLC want to tell some of those stories to students at the 2008 conference and future events. A special online page has been setup to gather details of how TLC affected attendees Christian walk and life purpose. Click here to share your story and read the stories of others.

The comments will be posted for others to see. TLC leaders will also be contacting some responders to include in a future video.

Hundreds of high school student leaders from across the country visit BBC each summer during July and August. The two, week-long programs are designed to help students develop strong, biblical leadership skills to influence their church and community for Christ. The program also provides an opportunity for BBC students, acting as mentors, to practice what they've learned in classes.

Youth workers also attend the conference to increase their knowledge and ability in leading ministries. Students participate in sports clinics, recreational activities and ministry opportunities in the surrounding area.

"Heroes" is the theme for this year's conferences. Workshops include "Friendship Counseling," "Reaching Out to the Elderly and Disabled," and "Drama in Action."
