King to direct new Grad School program
Dr. James King has been named Director of the Master of Biblical Ministries program at Baptist Bible Graduate School. A veteran educator and a primary force in developing distance education at Baptist Bible Seminary, his responsibilities include developing the course structure and selecting teachers.
Currently Director of Internet Course Development, Director of the Doctor of Ministry program, and Professor of Missions at BBS, Dr. King will maintain those roles while directing the MSBM program.
A BBS professor since 1989, Dr. King spent seven years in the Republic of Chad as a missionary with Baptist Mid-Missions and currently serves in his local church. He is a certified online instructor with the Walden Institute, a pioneer in online teaching and course development.
The completely online MSBM program is designed to train lay workers interested in pursuing some formal biblical education, missionaries wherever they may be serving, and Bible college graduates who want more education for professional positions. The program enables students to tailor their class work to their particular needs and focus on areas their expertise requires.
The degree is among 38 degree programs offered at BBC&S. Learn more about the degree here.
"We want the program to be an avenue for lay people to develop their personal skills and knowledge and impact the church," Dr. King said. "We want to help them pursue their professional training."
