Final Spring Weekend Seminar at BBGS
"Developing a Biblical Counseling Ministry in a Local Church" is the title of Baptist Bible Graduate School's final weekend seminar of the 2007-2008 school year.
Dr. Mark Dutton, pastor of Calvary Community Baptist Church of Northglenn, CO, will lead the seminar. It will be held April 11-12.
Dr. Dutton's expertise includes participating in the development of the very active counseling ministry at Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette, IN, while he was on the pastoral staff. He trains pastors, counselors and lay people from around the country in their unique counseling model. The seminar will discuss the development of a healthy counseling ministry.
The topic is frequently requested by students. His presentation will draw on the subject of his doctoral dissertation completed at Baptist Bible Seminary and his depth of counseling experience gained in his years of biblical counseling at his church.
Dr. Dutton is inviting participants to submit questions in advance and examples of potential hindrances or obstacles to developing such a counseling ministry so that he may address these real world issues in his presentation.
The cost of each seminar is $99 (spouses may attend the Dutton seminar at no charge). To register, please call Regina Koenke at the BBGS office. She may be reached at 570.585.9349 or rkoenke@bbc.edu.
The 48-credit-hour Counseling Ministries program at BBGS prepares students for a professional counseling career, to apply for certification as a National Certified Counselor, and to apply for licensure to minister as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
