Steckiel to lead Alumni and Church Relations Departments
Mark Steckiel ('81) has been named Director of Alumni & Church Relations at Baptist Bible College & Seminary.
Mark has been Director of Church Relations for three years. He served as senior pastor at Temple Baptist Church in Tacoma, WA, for 10 years before coming to BBC&S. He has also served as a youth pastor and an education pastor.
The transition comes as Vice President for Alumni Services and Summer Ministries Jim Huckaby moves to a part-time position at BBC&S. He will continue his summer ministries responsibilities through the summer and will retain his position as the Director of Athletics.
“Coach Huckaby laid an incredible foundation for the future of alumni relations,” Mark said. “We are looking forward to building on that foundation.”
The Alumni and Church Relations Department is responsible for developing and strengthening relationships between BBC&S and churches and alumni.
Mark and his wife, Janis, have been married for 26 years. They have three children, David (21), Danyelle (19) and Dustin (17). David and Danyelle are both freshmen at BBC.
