Folk band to perform at BBC
Folk band Rani Arbo & Daisy Mayhem is bringing its unique fusion of traditional and modern music to Baptist Bible College this week.
The four-piece string band plays a wide variety of music including country blues, vintage swing, modern songwriter fare, and Appalachian fiddle tunes and songs. The band is from Middletown, CT.
The performance is at 7:30 p.m. at the Phelps Student Center on Friday, November 9.
Headed by lead vocalist and fiddler Rani Arbo, the band also features a double bass, banjo, ukulele, guitar, and a homemade percussion set, which includes items such as a suitcase and a Danish butter cookie tin.
BBC is hosting the band as part of its Artist Series. The Christian musical group Shane and Shane will be performing this February.
