Day set aside to emphasize prayer

Classes were set aside recently as Baptist Bible College dedicated an entire day to prayer.

The semi-annual Day of Prayer gave students an opportunity to focus on God during the busy semester’s schedule. The event was held on Tuesday, October 30.

The theme for this year’s event was Thankfulness for God’s Faithfulness. It was chosen to complement the theme for Baptist Bible College & Seminary’s 75th anniversary celebration, Celebrating God’s Faithfulness.

The day began with a special prayer time in the bell tower of Jackson Hall at sunrise. Students were then treated to breakfast in their residence halls, while staff and faculty shared a morning meal in the Phelps Student Center.

Several corporate and group prayer sessions were scheduled throughout the day. The event closed with an evening devotional and prayer time in the residence halls led by the Resident Directors.

The next Day of Prayer will be held April 26.
