A Rose in Bloom

A Rose in Bloom

The Counseling Ministries of Baptist Bible Graduate School will host a weekend seminar on Friday evening, March 30 from 6–10 p.m. and Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Ann Shorb, a biblical counselor, will present this seminar entitled “A Rose in Bloom,” addressing common issues women face.

Ann Shorb is highly qualified to present this seminar. Not only is she a biblical counselor, but she is also an educator, speaker, freelance writer, former missionary, and founder and director of Christian Counseling and Educational Services in Hanover, PA. Dr. Shorb’s seminar will provide practical tools and opportunities to learn through God’s Word.

Shorb presents women with these questions: “Why am I here?,” “Why was I created?,” “What should I be doing?,” and “What does God really want for my life?” Her response to those questions is this: “By understanding your passion and purpose in living, you can answer these questions and bring your life into focus, finding more meaning and fulfillment.”

“A Rose in Bloom” will focus on “being the lovely lady [God] designed you to be” through topics such as finding passion and purpose to structure everyday living, understanding your unique personality, identifying how best to use your spiritual gifts, and discovering true peace through God’s love and acceptance.

The Word of God will be the foundation to study these topics. Ladies will be encouraged to find their unique passion so that, “like the rose, their true beauty can unfold and bring glory to [their] Creator.”

This seminar is a part of the BBGS Counseling Program and the cost of the seminar is $99 (spouses may attend free of charge). Graduate credit can be received by contacting Stacey Shaw at the Graduate School Admissions Office. She may be reached at 570.585.9349 or toll free at 800.451.7664 ext. 9349 or by e-mail at sshaw@bbc.edu.
