Commencement set for Saturday

BBC&S will mark its 82nd year during its annual graduation ceremonies, awarding diplomas to nearly 250 students. The 2014 Commencement is set for Saturday, May 10, at 9 a.m., in the Recreation Center on campus.

The event will be streamed live over the internet. A link to watch the event will be available during the program at

BBC&SPresident Jim Jeffery, the featured speaker, will encourage graduates and their families at the event. His address, "Maximize Your Impact," will challenge graduates to follow the footprints of the prophet Isaiah in their learning, life, and leadership. In so doing, they will make a difference for Christ as they think biblically, grow spiritually, and serve faithfully.

The address wraps together a series of messages from Isaiah President Jeffery preached in chapels over the academic year.

The morning will also include performances arranged through the BBC Department of Music.

Graduates and their families will enjoy a special time with President and Mrs. Jeffery and the BBC faculty the evening before Commencement.

This year's event will mark 82 years of graduates in school history. Founded in 1932 in Johnson City, NY, BBC&S moved to its current location in Clarks Summit, PA, in 1968.
