Veteran BBC&S administrator set to retire

Hal Cross, who served in leadership at BBC&S for more than 20 years, will retire from his role as Vice President for Business & Finance. The move will be effective by the end of the institution's fiscal year in May.

In his role, Cross has overseen the operations of the business office, human resources, student financial services, and campus buildings. He has served on the BBC Foundation board and its investment committee. He played a key role in the construction of the new Recreation Center, overseeing many contractor aspects, and as a key planner of many other campus improvements.

"I have appreciated working with Hal as a part of our Administrative team," said President Jim Jeffery. "His faithful life, wise leadership, and servant's heart have made a lasting impact on our students and mission."

Active in the local area as an EMT with the Chinchilla Hose Co. and in other roles, Cross helped forge lasting relationships in the community and with vendors. He and his wife, Nancy, serve faithfully in the ministry of Heritage Baptist Church in Clarks Summit, PA.

"I believe now is a natural time for identifying the next generation of leadership," said Cross, who plans to stay in the area and will be available as needed to assist the new leader in the role.

The search to fill the position will begin immediately. Details and a job description are posted online here.

Baptist Bible College & Seminary offers outstanding Christian higher education through on-campus, online, and other distance learning options. Students go beyond the ordinary, learning to think biblically, grow spiritually, and serve faithfully as they gain critical leadership and life skills.
