Minister's Enrichment Day features preaching, fellowship

Encouragement, a focus on biblical preaching, and a unique time of fellowship were all part of the spring Minister's Enrichment Day at Baptist Bible Seminary.

The March 26 event carried the theme "The Heart of Biblical Preaching." Nearly 80 pastors, church leaders, and others serving in ministry roles attended. States represented included Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey.

BBC&S "I have been attending Minister's Enrichment Day for over 13 years," said Pastor Don Adams of Trinity Baptist Church in Weatherly, PA. "I love the Christian fellowship, I get refreshed, and I get good ideas for my church."

BBC&S President Jim Jeffery offered the keynote session, and BBS Dean Dr. Mike Stallard led a general session focusing on communicating the Word of God to an increasingly biblically illiterate culture.

An afternoon Youth Pastors workshop was led by veteran ministry leader and BBC&S Vice President for Enrollment & External Relations Mel Walker and Teen Leadership Conference Director Dwight Peterson. An afternoon Ladies Track featured speaker and LYFE Women's Conference Director Diane Lytle.

"ME Day for me is a time of refreshment, a time to be recharged," said Susanne Swan of Sandusky Baptist Church in Sandusky, NY. "I come away recharged to go back and minister at the church."

Other speakers included Dr. Gary Gromacki, Dr. Mark McGinniss, Dr. Bill Arp, Dr. Rod Decker.

The next Minister's Enrichment Day will be held in the fall. Details will be available later.
