Special Big Blue Day offers fun, fundamentals

A 45-minute basketball clinic, BBC Defenders and Lady Defenders games, and pizza mixed with fun are part of Big Blue Day on Saturday, December 8.

Taking its name from BBC's targeted summer sports camps for youth, the special event invites campers and other students in Grades 2-8 to watch the BBC Defenders basketball teams play Cabrini College at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

BBC&SFollowing the two games will be a basketball clinic led by Head Coaches Mike Show and Amber Jacobs. The clinic provides basketball fundamentals, games, and fun. Pizza will be served for students and their families.

Students wearing a Big Blue T-shirt receive free admission to the day's events, along with one adult. Admission for others is $5 for adults and $3 for students.

"We do this to show our appreciation for the students who come to Big Blue in the summer," Coach Show said. "We also do it to build relationships in our community and to invite people here to enjoy the games and the atmosphere."
