Traveling worship team wraps up summer tour, eyes fall events

After a full summer serving and ministering at churches, schools, camps and other venues in the Northeast and Midwest, RiSE - BBC's traveling worship team - is preparing for its upcoming fall tour.

The ten-member group of student musicians and singers and is led by BBC Admissions Counselor Geoff Ellsworth.

"The life-changing power for RiSE members is the greatest impact by far; powerfully preparing them for future ministry," Ellsworth said.

"More than that, they gain a stronger walk with God, a broader view of God, and a deeper love for God and His Church. For prospective students, it helps them see there are many ways to minister, RiSE being just one of many."

The four-month summer tour took the team to nine states - Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. RiSE made 45 tour stops.

"I can't imagine a summer better than spending all my time at camps and churches impacting teens and adults alike for Christ showing them love and serving in any way we can," said Matt Szabo, a senior Sports Management major. "It has been an excellent training experience as well, preparing me for ministry after BBC."
