Golf Tournament continues string of successful summer events

Nearly 70 participants enjoyed spectacular weather for BBC&S's annual Golf Tournament, a special summer event that continues a successful series of seasonal activities on and off campus.

Players came from areas ranging from Maine down to Delaware and from Long Island, NY, west to Ohio. They played at Sand Springs Golf Course in Drums, PA, on June 14 and Scranton Municipal Golf Course in Mount Cobb, PA.

BBC&SIn addition to time on the greens, golfers also enjoyed free time to relax and enjoy the BBC campus, including an evening banquet in the Phelps Student Center. Participants also raised $385 for the BBC Defenders Golf team.

On the course, the championship team posted a 12-under score of 60 to win the tournament. The group was comprised of Ron Paull from Nicholson, PA; Harry Hicks from Collegeville, PA, and Erin Fisher, also from Collegeville, PA.

Hicks has been on the winning team previously and is one of two players who have been to the tournament every year for the past 30. The other is Dick Blades, who recently retired from Calvary Baptist Church in Georgetown, DE.


Summer Season Events
The tournament is part of a series of camps and conferences hosted at BBC&S during the summer.

Summer Volunteers Conference
Volunteers combine an inexpensive family vacation with helpful service on campus June 17-23 and July 8-14. The work is a great benefit to the school in many ways.

Teen Leadership Conference enhances biblical leadership skills in teens so they can go back to their homes, schools, and youth groups and have an impact for God in the lives of their friends.

TLC will be held July 23-28 and July 30-August 4.
