Student leaders set to serve on campus
A new team of student leaders is preparing for the fall semester at BBC, a group set to be a focal point for event planning and campus development.
The Student Leadership Council provides opportunities for spiritual, social, and academic growth among undergraduates. Events are planned and hosted by SLC, with the student government organization playing an important role in student development.
Director of Student Activities Jonathan Strayer advises the Student Leadership Council. Members include an executive team, presidents of each class and residence halls, and representatives from each organization on campus. Members of Student Leadership Council are elected by their peers to represent the student body.
"I'm looking forward to working with and advising this year's executive officer team," Strayer said. "They bring an excitement toward serving others and a fresh perspective of campus leadership. I'm eager to see them work together to serve our student body and grow closer to God over the next year."

Zachary Bordas (junior) of Wallaceton, PA
Amy Mills (senior) of Stilwell, KS
Julie Mecler (junior) of Dundalk, MD
Scott Cleveland (junior) of Carbondale, PA
Kasey Gresock (junior) of DuBois, PA
"I'm excited to develop new and innovative ways to bring the campus together while having fun and growing spiritually," Mecler said. "And I'm looking forward to getting to know the rest of the Student Leadership Council."
"I ran for student body president because I wanted to continue to be used by God and see what He would do in my life and ministry," added Mowers. "I am excited to take the relational aspect of campus life to a new level."

Before the fall semester begins, the Student Leadership Council and residence hall staff return to campus for a week of training and fellowship. Student leaders develop healthy team relationships, organize events, and build skills for the upcoming school year.
Student Leadership Council is just one way students are involved in hands-on leadership training at BBC, taking knowledge from the classroom and immediately using it on campus. Organizations like the SLC and other service opportunities are a vital part of life on the campus of BBC&S as students prepare for global Christian Leadership.
Baptist Bible College & Seminary offers an outstanding Christian education through on-campus, online, and other distance learning options. Students go beyond the ordinary, learning to learn and serve with excellence as they gain critical leadership and life skills.
