Summer Crew begins serving on campus

With a busy summer schedule at BBC&S, the six-student Summer Crew plays an important role on campus. Members prepare residence halls for multiple uses, serve at the Underground Cafe, and helping with a range of other needs.

Working with the Maintenance Department, Summer Crew members started after Commencement in early May. Nearly 4,000 people are expected to attended conferences, camps and events before the fall semester begins in August.

BBC&SRoddy Hannah, BBC's Director of Career Services, supervises the team. This year's crew members are Renee Thompson, Leah Talarico, Ashley Bouraphael, Josh Galvin, Benjamin Johnson, and Collis Bryant.

The team spends the summer on campus and serves guests attending all conferences and sports camps -- from the LYFE Women's Conference and five Defender Sports Camps to Teen Leadership Conferences and Junior High Boot Camp.

Members of the Summer Crew include:

Benjamin Johnson, team leader, is from Pavilion, NY. He is a senior Youth Pastor major and considers BBC a great place to learn with stimulating, practical classes and friendly faculty. Ben hopes to serve in youth ministry after graduating in 2013.

Leah Talarico, a junior Literature major from Lake Ariel, PA, enjoys interacting with the faculty and staff, finding that one of the most appealing aspects of BBC.

Renee Thompson, a junior Counseling major from Langhorne, PA, grew up in South Africa. Her parents, BBC alumni, were missionaries there. She is thankful for the biblical foundation in classes and for the faculty's involvement in students' lives.

Collis Bryant is from Ivor, VA. After transferring from Word of Life Bible Institute, he is now a senior Specialized Ministries major. With a talent for acting, he hopes to use drama and theatre for ministry upon graduation in 2013.

Ashley Bouraphael is a senior Elementary Education major from Kingston, NH. Thankful for the opportunity to learn at BBC, she desires to teach women and children and show them the love of Jesus Christ on the mission field.

Josh Galvin is from Waterford, PA. He is a sophomore Health and Physical Education major with a heart for serving. Josh loves children and hopes to be a health and physical education teacher for elementary students.

Baptist Bible College & Seminary offers an outstanding Christian education through on-campus, online, and other distance learning options. Students go beyond the ordinary, learning to learn and serve with excellence as they gain critical leadership and life skills.
