High School Students Come to BBC to Learn about Leadership

On November 10-12, over 130 high school students and advisors came to Baptist Bible College for Growing Leaders, a conference BBC holds each year for high school students, especially those involved in student government.

The conference theme this year was Now is the Time! The purpose of Growing Leaders 2005 was to encourage students to become dynamic, godly leaders whom God can use to impact others. Students were told the choice to step up and make a difference today rather than waiting until they are older is theirs. In the last session of the conference, BBC Bible professor Chuck Emert challenged the students to be proactive saying: ìYou are your generationís representatives.î

In addition to the main sessions and workshops, the weekend included a candlelit banquet, a concert by the Chris Norman Ensemble, and a BBC Lip Sync hosted by the senior class.
