Golf event to raise money for student scholarships

A special event in May is set to continue a tradition of raising money for student scholarships at BBC&S through play at a championship-caliber golf course .

The President's Golf Classic, held annually in Northeastern Pennsylvania since 2005, has raised nearly $800,000 for scholarships since 2005.

The President's Golf Classic is Monday, May 21 at Glen Oak Country Club in Waverly, PA, just minutes from campus. Registration and other details are online at

Golfers connect with local business sponsors to raise funds for scholarships. The event is a powerful opportunity for friends of BBC&S to be involved in the work of equipping students for global Christian leadership.

President's Golf Classic in Waverly, PA
Glen Oak Country Club opened in 1953. It was designed by James Harrison under the training of Donald Ross, a highly regarded golf course architect. It features five tees at each hole.

The event starts at 9 a.m. with registration and golfer gifts. Lunch is served at 11 a.m. and the tournament begins with a shotgun start at noon. Dinner, along with awards and prize drawings, is at 5 p.m.
