BBC Celebrates Ten Years of Giving Back to the Community

For ten years, Baptist Bible College has set aside one day a year for serving the surrounding area. This year on Tuesday, November 1, over 600 students, staff, and faculty inundated the surrounding area to rake, mulch, and clean-up in Scranton, Clarks Summit, South Abington, Dalton, Factoryville, and Clarks Green.

Some of the organizations that benefited from day were Nay Aug Park in Scranton, South Abington Township, Abington Youth Center, Happenings Magazine, Harmony Heart, Lackawanna Park, and the Sheridan Avenue and Ackerly Avenue Baseball Fields. In addition, groups of students worked their way through Clarks Green and Clarks Summit Boroughs raking the leaves in as many yards as they could during the morning.

The day began in the Phelps Student Center at 8:15 a.m. with a warm-up session and concluded at noon with everyone meeting back at BBC for lunch.
