BBC Hosts over 200 Grandparents

On a campus usually teeming with young adults, Friday, October 28 was an unusual day as BBC welcomed over 200 grandparents from around the country to its campus. Each fall, students invite their grandparents to come and experience a day at college with them.

Grandparents had the opportunity to visit a class with their grandchild, go to the college’s production of The Good Doctor, watch athletic events, enjoy musical performances, and attend a special grandparents’ recognition chapel at 10 a.m.

At the chapel, grandparents received awards for having the most grandchildren attending BBC, traveling the farthest, and being the youngest grandparents. A video of students sharing about their grandparents was also shown. The students expressed their gratefulness for the spiritual legacy their grandparents provided for them and for the many lessons they had learned from their grandparents.
