BBC&S closing in on special matching gift goal

A special matching gift challenge has propelled donations toward BBC&S student scholarships this winter, with just $16,400 left to meet the goal as of January 31.

A $150,000 match challenge, given by a longtime supporter of BBC&S, was made in the fourth quarter of 2011.

Gifts can be eligible for the match by falling into one of three categories:

- Funds given by people who have never given before.

- Donations by those who have not given in more than a year.

- Gift amounts over what a donor has given in the past.

"It's been remarkable," said Vice President for Institutional Advancement Don Patten. "We had one gift of $3. We've had others who have jumped on board and given a lot. Every bit helps, and with the match it doubles."

Making a Difference
Donors make a difference in the lives of students and help tomorrow's global Christian leaders through their gifts to the BBC&S Student Impact Fund. All money raised through the challenge match will go toward student scholarships.

The deadline to raise $16,400 is May 31 to qualify for a $150,000 match.
