Two advanced Counseling degrees offer options
BBC's two advanced Counseling degrees provide students affordable, flexible preparation for careers and ministry.
The powerful 48-credit M.S. in Counseling Ministries is designed for those pursuing professional counseling careers and licensure. It is joined by a 30-credit totally online Master of Arts degree with a Counseling concentration, an option giving students greater skills in assisting others in their ministries and churches.
Both programs build students' abilities to better understand people through biblical Christian counseling, grow in their awareness of how the Bible applies to healthy living, and learn from professors and peers who will make a difference in their life and career.
"Lasting change comes from God working in both the counselee's life, as well as the counselor's," said Luda Handzel, a graduate counseling student from Scranton, PA.
Both recent undergraduates and those in careers for decades can grow their career options with BBC's M.S. in Counseling Ministries. Courses are available on-campus and through online distance learning, completing the program in two to three years.
Students are equipped to:
- Pursue professional counseling careers.
- Develop ministry leadership positions.
- Sit for the National Certified Counselor (NCC) exam.
- Apply for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
"It isn't just about sitting in class and learning a book," said Marilyn Luster, a first-year graduate counseling student from Washington, NJ. "It's about learning how God can use His people in different situations.
