Global Ministry Conference, Day of Prayer focus on the Church

A special focus on church planting and God's global plan for His Church are among the key features of February's Global Ministry Conference and Day of Prayer at BBC.

"Ecclesia (The Church): God's Global Plan" will be held on campus the week of February 6-10. Speakers, workshops, and ice cream sundae chats will be presented throughout the week, offering a range of ways to implement church-building directives given in Scripture.BBC&S

Church-Building Focus
The conference features speakers with experience working with churches and church plants in unique settings. Speakers include:

Kristi Walker: ABWE missionary with Team Berlin Germany. Kristi works with children and youth groups at CrossWay International Baptist Church in West Berlin.

Robert Rodriguez: Church planting team leader in Astoria, NY. Robert has been working with Project Jerusalem, planting and helping to prosper churches in the New York City area.

Reverend Samson Divakar: Founder and Executive Director of Beacon Baptist Ministries in Karnataka State, India.

Information about missions, church plant opportunities, and mission agencies will be on display throughout the week in the Phelps Student Center.

Day of Prayer
The Day of Prayer will be held Tuesday February 7. Held each semester, this event gives students, faculty, and staff a special time to come together in prayer for needs on campus, at home, and worldwide.

"We want to remind students once again that God's institution called the Church is His method or plan to distribute the gospel and disciple the nations," said John Jackson, Associate Professor and Director of Short-Term Ministries.

"Each student can be engaged in this plan anytime of the year. Whether it's global short-term ministries, career mission ministries, or serving more actively in their local church's mission ministries, each one can be involved in carrying out the Great Commission."

Special Visit Day
On Friday, February 10, students interested in a missions career have a special opportunity to visit during a day designed for them.

Missions Visit Day includes meetings with professors, students in the program, participating in conference activities, and more.

It's a "can't miss" for any missions-oriented student and the best way to see inside BBC's powerful program.
