RiSE team begins summer tour

RiSE, BBC's traveling student worship team, will be ministering in churches, schools, and camps throughout the spring and summer.

The nine-member group is made up of student singers and musicians. They will begin the summer break traveling through Pennsylvania, New York, and Delaware during a three-week tour in May.RiSE

Beginning in mid-June, the group will be serving and performing primarily in camps and churches, making a trip back to the Clarks Summit campus in July for Teen Leadership Conference.

A special performance at Kingdom Bound, a well-known Christian musical festival near Buffalo, NY, is also on the schedule.

"The Lord has crafted these students, and continues to craft them, into humble carriers of the talents and truth God has given them," said BBC Admissions Counselor Geoff Ellsworth, who coordinates the RiSE team.

"Because of this work, the music and ministry of RiSE is relationally authentic and resonant with the truth of Christ and His purpose for our lives. Becoming less while illuminating the greatness of God- that is what RiSE strives to be all about."

RiSE members perform and minister in local churches, schools, and camps as they gain hands-on training to be effective in global Christian leadership and represent BBC to the school's friends and supporters.

The team's name, RiSE, was inspired by Christ's words in John 3:30: "He must increase, but I must decrease."
