BBC ranks high in new survey of student satisfaction
Students at BBC are significantly more satisfied with their college experience in a range of areas compared to counterparts at select Christian colleges and other four-year private higher education institutions, according to results of a new survey.
The Student Satisfaction Inventory, produced by educational consultant Noel-Levitz, was taken by students at BBC and 25 other colleges affiliated with the Association for Biblical Higher Education in fall 2010. Results placed BBC among the highest performers in that group of colleges.
BBC students also exceeded satisfaction scores posted in a similar survey of more than 470 other private four-year colleges and universities.
The Student Satisfaction Inventory includes 45 questions across a range of areas - from campus security and value for the tuition dollar to financial aid availability and the content of courses.
More than 40 percent of BBC on-campus undergraduates offered opinions in the survey.
Areas where BBC performed markedly better among students compared to other colleges included:
- Campus is safe and secure for all students and well-maintained.
- Content of courses in major is valuable.
- Tuition paid is a worthwhile investment.
- Mentors are available to guide on life and career goals.
- Quality of instruction is excellent.
- Faculty provide timely feedback on academic performance.
BBC students are also increasing in their level of satisfaction. The survey, first given to students in 2006, has shown improved performance measures each year.
Baptist Bible College & Seminary offers an outstanding Christian education through on-campus, online, and other distance learning options. Students go beyond the ordinary, learning to learn and serve with excellence as they gain critical leadership and life skills.
