“I am excited at the possibility of coming alongside individuals and couples as they embrace biblical stewardship principles and discover the many ways His kingdom work can be advanced through focused and purposeful planned giving to such ministries as BBC&S," Tom said.

The BBC Foundation assists individuals with biblical retirement and estate planning and builds financial resources for Baptist Bible College & Seminary and other biblically based ministries.

Tom has served in multiple development and strategic planning roles, including numerous sales and marketing initiatives and research and development activities. For the past 11 years he has worked primarily in financial services, with insurance products aimed at business risk and funded business succession, and estate plan models.

Additionally, Tom worked under Don Patten, BBC&S Vice President for Institutional Advancement, as chair of the capital campaign for Beacon Hill at Eastgate, a $65 million dollar senior housing development in Grand Rapids, MI.

“Tom and I have had the privilege of working on many boards, committees, leadership, capital campaigns, and financial seminars, as well as many individual financial and estate counseling settings." said Don.

A native of Ohio, Tom and his wife, Laura, will move to Pennsylvania from Lansing, MI, where they most recently attended South Church. There, he served as deacon chairman, teacher, and overseer of an organized emergency response ministry, drawing from his experience as a paramedic. The couple has three grown children, Amanda in Grand Rapids, Jim in Oregon, and David in Texas.

Tom can be reached at 570.585.9609 or tbevan@bbc.edu.
