BBC hosting National Mentoring Summit

BBC hosting National Mentoring Summit

Strategies and resources for mentoring young people will be the focus of a special national summit hosted by BBC&S in March.

Vision for Youth, an international network of youth ministries, is presenting the event on March 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Designed for all youth leaders, from parents to pastors, the summit will encourage, educate, and challenge Godly adults in building relationships and mentoring young people within the church.

Early registration is $30. Registration after February 25 is $50. A full day of sessions, resources, notes, snacks, and lunch are included.

Targeted Workshops
Workshop topics include mentoring teenagers, mentoring in men's and women's ministries, couples mentoring other couples, and helping senior citizens mentor younger people in the church.

“We're excited about partnering with BBC on this event because BBC and Vision For Youth are both committed to creative and relevant ministry leadership," said Vision for Youth President Mel Walker. “We're thankful BBC is providing their facilities for us to network with them on this important training initiative."

General sessions will be led by Tim Ahlgrim and Mel Walker. Special speakers include Mel and Peggy Walker, Tim and Bonnie Ahlgrim, and Todd and Janine Walker.

Founded in 1985, the mission of Vision for Youth is to train and encourage youth workers and students for effective global ministry.
