Missions-focused week ahead with workshops, chapels

Special missions-focused chapel and workshop sessions at BBC&S are set for the week of February 7-11, a powerful time equipping students for evangelism through practical ministry tools.

"Connect for Major Impact" is the theme for the 2011 Global Ministry Forum. The theme draws on Exodus 4:2, which presents Moses and the power of God. Students will attend classes most days as they are engaged in missions-related events and opportunities.

Day of Prayer
As part of the forum, the spring Day of Prayer will be held February 8. As a campus committed to prayer, each semester BBC&S faculty, staff, and students devote a day to prayer.

Having Tuesday off from classes, students will enjoy breakfast in their dorms and a special time of prayer with their floors, suites, Resident Assistants, and Residence Directors. Forum chapel and workshops will also be part of the Day of Prayer.

Several special speakers will participate in the weeklong forum, including:

- Mark Henzler , a veteran missionary and a regional professor of biblical studies in Central America and the Caribbean. He and his wife, Diane, have served as missionaries with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism in Peru, Chile, and Togo for over 25 years.
