Student scholarships focus of two special golf events
Two special events are ahead in Pennsylvania and Michigan, each providing unique opportunities to raise money for student scholarships at BBC&S and enjoy championship-caliber golf courses.
The President's Golf Classic, held annually in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and the Michigan President's Golf Classic in Grand Rapids, MI, have together raised more than $700,000 for scholarships since 2005.
The President's Golf Classic will be Monday, May 23. Registration and other details are online at www.bbc.edu/golfclassic.
The Michigan President's Golf Classic event is Monday, September 12. Registration and other details are online at www.bbc.edu/michigangolf.
The Michigan event features special speaker Frank Tanana, a Detroit native whose major league baseball career spanned 21 seasons. A Christian who enjoys sharing his faith and experiences, Tanana's eight seasons with the Tigers included pitching Detroit to a 1-0, division-clinching win over the Toronto Blue Jays on the last day of the 1987 season.
Golfers connect with local business sponsors to raise funds for student scholarships. The events are special opportunities for friends of BBC&S to be involved in the work of equipping students for global Christian leadership.
