Special time of learning, refreshment at Minister's Enrichment Day

Over 150 pastors, youth pastors, and their wives enjoyed a day of encouragement, fellowship, and learning at BBS' Minister's Enrichment Day.

Baptist Bible College & SeminaryDr. Charles Ryrie, a noted author, theologian, and educator, was the main speaker at the event held annually at Baptist Bible Seminary.

The theme of the day "Biblical Spirituality: A Look at Biblical Perspectives in Spiritual Living" was explored in sessions with Dr. Ryrie and in targeted workshops for pastors, youth pastors, and their wives.

The day included three sessions with Dr. Ryrie, a question-and-answer session with BBS faculty, and a special faculty wives panel.

Thomas and Mary Jane Clement of Spencerport, NY, who came to Ministers Enrichment Day for the first time, said they benefited greatly.

"We were expecting to hear helpful information for our ministry, but we also learned a lot personally," said Mary Jane.

"It's very refreshing and encouraging," added Thomas. "It's a chance to talk to others in ministry. You realize you're not fighting a battle that's unique. Here you can meet people and build friendships."

Featured speaker, Dr. Ryrie has written more than two-dozen books, including the best-selling Ryrie Study Bible. He is professor emeritus and former dean of doctoral studies at Dallas Theological Seminary.
