Noteworthy School offering piano, vocal lessons to community

Quality instruction and performance opportunities for area residents will be offered this academic year by The Noteworthy School, the second year of the BBC Music Department's unique community education program.

Private piano and vocal instructions are available to students of all ages and skill levels beginning September 6.

For registration details, schedules, and costs go to www.bbc.edu/noteworthy.

Two youth choirs will also be open to area children in first through eighth grades and local home-schooled students. Vocalists interested in participating should pre-register at noteworthy@bbc.edu or 570.585.9297.

The Noteworthy School enables students to learn, perform, and grow a deeper appreciation for music and the arts. Students learn technique and artistry, with the help of gifted and accomplished
instructors, in an affirmative and encouraging musical community.

Delighting in both hard work and the process of music making, students develop a lifelong love for music.

Jenean Truax, a member of the BBC music faculty since 2006, is director of The Noteworthy School.
